This book is published on the 50th anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong’s death.
 
Now, more than ever, Chairman Mao Zedong’s works are necessary reading for all future revolutionaries looking to change the world. In this volume, we have included what we believe are the essential works of Mao Zedong during the early period of his life. Originally, we were going to include all the works written throughout his entire life into one volume. After deep consideration, we came to the conclusion that this would have been both too lengthy a process and also too long of a volume. So instead, we will be dividing the Chairman’s essential works into 3 volumes. The latter two volumes will be published at a later date.

You will sadly notice that Mao Zedong’s works on revolutionary war have been omitted from this volume. This is because they are simply too lengthy to include. In the future, we plan to produce a separate volume of Mao’s works on revolutionary war.
